CS5 Mixed video formats in same sequence

new user here, coming 10 years of pinnacle studio.

 

i have @ least 3 different video formats edit in single sequence/timeline (iphone, 720 sony point , shoot, , 1080i canon video camera).  depending on format use sequence, when drag videos main video1 track, audio go whatever track appropriate mono or stereo.  iphone , sony both mono , on 1 track , canon stereo audio jumps stereo track.

 

so question is, make audio adjustments on both mono , stereo audio tracks depending on making volume changes on timeline.  in pinnacle, video , associated audio on same track pair.  wondering workflow , best way make audio adjustments.

 

my project typically year's worth of video footage 3 sources, making year in review.  there soundtrack music mp3's playing of time, occasional original audio video being raised in volume few seconds, fading down hear soundtrack again.  keeps audience more engaged.

 

one more question, format should sequence match, 1080 stereo canon, 720 mono sony, or mono iphone.  end result viewing on widescreen big screen dvd or blu-ray.  make mono on both channels, , upscale 1080.  not sure best way this.

 

any guidance appreciated.

upscaling bad idea. better off using setting matches smallest frame size. way don't try upscale , lose quality.

 

as audio, can make adjustments in master audio track. takes care of of audio @ 1 time.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
