How to save unused split clits for later projects

i have search , found variations question, unsure if applies situation.

 

i editing dv lecture in premiere elements 9 30 minute broad cast.  clip 50 mins long.  want make part 1 & 2 splitting , selecting clips keep within 30 min window.  want make part 2 (30 min) video incorporates used , unused (split) clips.

 

for example, if make 5 (10 min) splits renaming them  a-b-c-d-e.  want use a-b-c part 1 (30 mins), & later make part 2 a-d-e. (30 mins).

 

how this?  there nothing in users guide addresses have found.

once you've created trimmed clips a, b, c, d, e , saved them in trimmed form project media panel, save project , save create duplicate of project.

 

in project 1, use clips a, b c on timeline.

 

in project w, use clips a, d , e.
