Migrating settings, actions, plug-ins etc. from CS5 to CS6 (Creative Cloud)
hi,
i wondered if me transition cs5 cs6 (creative cloud). i'm on mac mountain lion.
i migrate many settings (i.e. workspaces relevant), personal photoshop actions, plug-ins (i.e. type dna, fontshop [photoshop], scriptographer [illustrator] , blurb template creator [indesign]) possible cs5 cs6. easiest , smoothest way this?
some settings, actions , plug-ins might not work cs6, don't know. can't find photoshop actions archived atm.
can import extensions adobe extension manager cs5 adobe extension manager cs6?
should uninstall cs5 apps? i'd keep indesign cs5 backwards compatibility @ least.
does audition replace soundbooth? flash catalyst, device central , onlocation?
edit: have installed creative cloud applications btw. haven't uninstalled cs5 apps yet.
thanks,
eivind
hi elvind,
i suggest keeping both cs5 , cs6 versions on system until transitioned, longer if want. when launch photoshop cs6 ask if want import settings prior version. third party plug-ins may or may not compatible between versions might need check manufacturer find out. need reinstall third party plug-ins integrate existing adobe product installations though.
i found document photoshop cs6
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preset-migration-photoshop-cs6.htm l
for ps actions, open actions panel, highlight actions set (folder) wanted migrate, flyout menu of panel choose option save set, creates .atm file. there option importing actions in same menu.
i can't speak migrating in relation other products. recommend posting in respective product forums.
