Audio and Video not working in HTML5 published format

hi,

i have recorded captivate 6 file includes few "static" slides , 1 slide contains animation (a recording of tapping letters on ipad screen). when publish file html5 , swf , run on machine (ie9), video works fine , can hear audio have inserted , video works.

however, when publishing html5 , swf , swf , viewing via lms, having issues video/audio:

here findings:

  • published html5 , swf
    • viewed through lms
      • on ie9:
        • audio on 1 static slide didn't work
        • audio on video didn't work
      • on ie8
        • audio 1 static slide didn't work
        • audio on video didn't work
        • video didn't play correctly - video had "spinning icon" , when done, showed results of typing - didn't show letters appearing (it should have played swf, correct?)
    • viewed outside of lms:
        • on ie9:
          • all worked correctly (opened index.html)
  • published swf only
    • viewed through lms
      • on ie9:
        • audio static slides worked
        • audio on video worked
        • however, typing in video didn't show - spinning wheel whole time
      • on ie8:
        • audio on page 2 worked
        • audio on video worked
          • typing in video didn't show - spinning wheel
    • viewed outside of lms
        • on ie9
            • all worked should - hear/watch video  (opened index.html)

anyone have ideas on why video , audio aren't working in html5 through lms?

thank you

michele

hi, michele

it may project contains objects not supported particular browser or particular lms.

here things investigate:

first, download online pdf (for easier searching)

http://help.adobe.com/en_us/captivate/cp/using/captivate_6_help.pdf

then search these topics:

  • publish projects html5 files
  • unsupported objects in html5 output (look mention of "html tracker")

note:

html5 output supported on following browsers:

  • internet explorer 9 or later
  • safari 5.1 or later
  • google chrome 17 or later

speak lms administrator see if there known conflicts html5.

are publishing html5 because folks accessing ipad? if so, there other notes in online want at.

sorry don't have magic answer, closer solution.
