Best Graphics Card for Photo Editing

hello all,

 

i professional photographer. use photoshop cs5 , lightroom 4.1. in process of having new computer built editing photography. board asus p9x79 intel core i7-3820 , 16 gb memory. technician building computer recommendation of fastest , or best graphics card editing still images.

 

all of work done in raw 5d mii. 21 megapixel.

 

processing speed has been bottleneck me , lightroom 4 has not helped.

 

can please recommend best or fastest graphics card system?

lightroom doesn't need in terms of graphics cards when editing stills. nice if made use of gpus, doesn't. photoshop may, , lightroom "plugins" nik things make use of fancier graphics, suspect there, won't need top of line graphics. in case, won't make lr run faster.

 

i've got core i7-2600 8 gb, , lr smooth , responsive 12 megapixel images, new machine sounds it'll run lr pretty well.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
