hi,

i'm going straight problem seem enountering....

i running adobe x 10.1.3.

what have on our system, load of documents, created in ms word 2010.  in these documents hyperlinks, individual .pdf files stored on acessible network drive.

i aiming print documents .pdf versions (so people can't accidentally edit them) , will/should allow easy hyperlink navigation between linked files.

however... if open index file in adobe reader, , click hyperlink, automatically opened in internet explorer?? thwarts whole plan.  same index file opened in ms word 2010, (hyper)link file itself, opening in adobe reader x.

i have googles this, , have checked hyperlink 'type' hovering in adobe reader x, says "file://xxx/xxx/xx.pdf" word not creating url-type hyperlinks...

i don't understand why these links opening in ie...?

please advise.
