Quicktime Codecs/Compressors and After Effects?

hi,

 

i have ae cs4, updated.win xp sp 3 , 560ti nvidia.

 

i have few questions regarding quicktime , after effects.

 

 

i render using quicktime , photo-jpeg compressor.but in timelapse shot, not giving me precise colors , final movie low on contrast.
i tried animation codec, awesome file size large.i rendering stock footage 1gb maximum file size limit.

 

 

my questions:

 

 

1 - updating quicktime update compressor menu list under quicktime format in after effects render settings?will updating add new compressors, if any?

2 - quicktime store encoders/compressors if installed on c drive?

3 - saw many recommending dnxhd codec.i downloaded it.what next?is quicktime compressor, i.e. used quicktime use h.264, animation , photo-jpeg?

4 - how add dnxhd codec after effects use in renders?

 

5 - recommend best lossless quicktime compressor gives not big file size animation does?

 

currently see 11 compressors in format options under quicktime.are there more?i have latest k-lite codec pack installed if matters.

no. there no more built qt.

in program directory or relevant qt sub-directory inside windows folder.

the png codec , third-party codecs dnxhd or blackmagic ones. still, latter pointless, sonce not people ahve access such codecs or not want install them.
