Setting up initial recurring membership database
i have problem regarding establshing new membership website form existing database of on 1000 members split across half dozen different membership classifications , interested hear how tackle matter.
each membership level has different price considering setting memberships either
- individual products each membership class prices set rather charging secure zone have raise manual invoices new members joining par way through year charged pro-rata, or
- setting secure zone each classification separate prices , common 'member' zone belong used control access common member aeas of site
following option 2
choice (2) relatively easy if understand bc correctly in import existing members crm include them relevant secure zones , set expiry date being common membership renewal date.the memberships renewed on same date in year. putting new website , need take existing members.
quest 1: correct in understanding bc generate new invoice members 2 weeks prior secure zone expiry. don't have credit card details have direct them first renewal link sign secure zone again based on existing crm details. kick off recurring payments year on?

this provides simpler secure zone management leads problem of how generate automatic invoices 2 weeks prior membership renewal date?
as don't have recurring order against these members there no trigger recurring invoices generated.
quest 2: there way can pre-load recurring order against list of crm customers (in our case 1000+) without doing 1 one per customer?
quest 3: assuming can pre-load orders how handle initial renewal of membership against recurring product item when don't have existing credit card details?
the answer quest 2 may force hand here thought worth exporing of great ideas forum produces , may suggest approach have not considered.

bc's recurrence memberships basic , not easy implement requirement. so, there 2 ways create recurring order in bc. 1 - customer goes site , fills in secure zone membership form , recurring order created. system raise instance of initial order 14 days prior next billing cycle , charge credit card. 2 - manually create recurring order every customer through admin interface. have have credit card details this.
there third option can use api , go through list of customers , create crm records , orders them. may want contact simpleflame see if can implement you.
