Thread: compiz huge performance loss

i see huge performance loss in compiz in 11.04 2 event:

1.switching workspace
2.resize window

workspace, switching fast form workspace another, frame per second depend number of window:
0 window: 60 frame/sec
1 window: 30 frame/sec
2 window: 22 frame/sec
3 window: 15 frame/sec
4 window: 10 frame/sec
5 window: 7 frame/sec

, think understand...
see it's not switching animation problem, before animation. when got lot of window open, can see animation got 60 frame/sec, waiting/lagging bit before , using 100% of cpu during lag. strangely, animation time include lag in step (if lag bigger, animation faster)

resize action, when using normal mode resize, got 2 frame/sec nautilus, in kde, it's fine, metacity perfect. hard make window resizing 60 frame/sec?

hope react thread fix error, i'm not enough in c++
if got problem too, able report problem in launchpad.

look wait vertical refresh (vsync)

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
