Thread: Errors were encountered while processing: initramfs-tools desktop-base

i keep getting error when , upgrade or installation
errors encountered while processing:
initramfs-tools
desktop-base
any ideas?

example after installing midori

setting libwebkitgtk-1.0-0 (1.3.13-0ubuntu2) ...
setting libxss1 (1:1.2.1-1) ...
setting libjs-mootools (1.2.5~debian1-2) ...
setting midori (0.3.2-0.1ubuntu1) ...
update-alternatives: using /usr/bin/midori provide /usr/bin/x-www-browser (x-www-browser) in auto mode.
processing triggers libc-bin ...
ldconfig deferred processing taking place
errors encountered while processing:
initramfs-tools
desktop-base
e: sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned error code (1)

try running these commands in terminal:

code:
sudo apt-get clean  sudo apt-get install -f  sudo dpkg --configure -a  sudo apt-get update
run them 1 @ time , if errors reported post exact message here can try , figure out going on.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
