Thread: Lots of Issues with 11.04

hey, i'm using ubuntu 11.04, 64-bit, intel processor (sandybridge) , having issues. first, firefox has blinking video. looked upgrading firefox 5 can't. there no way access update manager of sort. click on , nothing happens. same happening other system applications settings - can't access because if click on nothing happens. now, there isn't , update manager can found anywhere. can't sudo apt-get.... because terminal tells me no such command exists.

had display problem every-time displays come out of sleep, red display number box pops , have turn off - change setting on , on again happens anyway.

in general, in 11.04 extremely difficult find looking for. of menu bars gone , have search scroll through every application find anything. before click "system>settings... etc. don't setup.

anyway, last paragraph mini-rant. have suggestions why 11.04 screwed-up? wasn't this. things worked fine initially.

replace 11.04 10.04.2 or 10.10 while. keep good!

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
