Thread: Unable to connect from Xubuntu to Vista

hullo,

i've installed xubuntu , struggling vista pc , laptop connect each other.

can ping laptop vista pc.
laptop can run gigolo , see shared folders on vista pc, when try connect following error...

failed open "smb://main/downloads/".
uri "smb://main/downloads/" invalid

on vista pc can see laptop , connect it, thing can see shared printers folder.

have managed connect printer (shared via network router) , can print ok.

other issue please?

i don't mount windows shares, on gigolo's web page, there instructions follow (esp. make sure have gvfs-fuse , fuse-utils installed). see: http://www.uvena.de/gigolo/help.html...ce-4-4-and-4-6. know reference 4.4 & 4.6, might helpful nonetheless.

to connect xubuntu shares need have samba installed on xubuntu - (from command line)

sudo apt-get install samba
(or search samba in software centre), , you'll need edit file - /etc/samba/smb.conf. have @ documentation here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/sa...n%20-%20manual more detailed information , instructions.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
