Copy all page items into new document - Invalid parameter? [CS5][JS]
hello,
i've got 4 indesign documents, simplicity, lets 5x5 inch (each of 4 documents contains 1 5x5inch page). i'm trying create one, new 10x10inch page placing 4 smaller pages 2x2 grid on new page. best route accomplish in javascript?
what i've tried:
1. in script creating new page, i've tried opening each of 4 other documents copy , duplicating page new document. doesn't seem want since treats whole new page in spread. need content copied on onto new 10x10 page.
2. in script creating new page, still opening each of other 4 documents copy, i've tried grouping allpageitems/pageitems throw error saying "invalid parameter" when creating new group. after researching this, appears happens when i've got object of type eps or pdf, or other textframes , rectangles, , cannot grouped. i'm still not sure on 1 because haven't seen defined anywhere objects can , can't grouped. goal of create group, duplicate onto new page, , move needs be, copying content onto new page. is there property of pageitem let's know if can grouped or not?
is there way can group page items scenario of objects?
or maybe is there better way copy page or of it's contents onto new page?
edit: another option embed smaller documents new document. reason can't place them because placed graphics link out original documents , need interactive content of document carried through new one. know if possible embed documents or better way copy content through while preserving interactive content?
many in advance!

what open each document, copy pageitems on spread wise, because won't able select pageitems on different spreads. paste these pageitems onto new document. if want can preserve layers on pageitems placed on original document while pasting pageitems on destination document.
hope helps cause.
