Does Creative Cloud survive Mac "migration" to new computer?
i plan join creative cloud later month, plan upgrade mac tower new 1 next spring. using built in "migration assistant" in osx hard drive "brain transplant" old mac tower new 1 once purchase it. understand it, make work properly, need deactivate creative cloud programs first. also need "uninstall" them? or should deactivate them on old machine, not transfer them @ new machine? download them fresh on new machine? in past, have upgraded computers every 4 or 5 years, assumming creative cloud way go here on out, brain transplant needs go smoothly, without counting "third copy" of creative cloud apps. thanks!
hi peberger,
i've done workflow describe on macs. deactivation not critical won't hurt , idea. our licensing technology has improved in if attempt activate on many computers gives end user option de-activate versus having call support assistance. recommend uninstalling , reinstalling on new system. reason being installation of products looks @ current system configuration when installing, using migration assistant circumvents occuring , potentially cause issues. i'd make sure permissions in order after migration.
