Importing from XQD into Lightroom

i can't import directly xqd card lightroom on laptop (windows 7). images appear in import window, following message when trying import: "the following files not imported because not read."  can move files on hard disk lightroom can import them using "add" function. precludes adding date file name , converting files dng.   funny thing can import them desktop, has less memory , older processor during import exceeds memory capabilities , corrupts image file.

 

any suggestions?

not sure xqd cards, if there special them , lr importing, “files…could not read’ message means destination not writable or otherwise has permissions problem, although can copy files on manually maybe not it, might check permissions, anyway.

 

if need copy files hard-disk, first, can’t put them in temporary location , copy-as-dng operation there normal place lr sees photos?
