Method to solve the problem that extension does not appear in Photoshop 13.0.1 and InDesign 8.0.1
dear configurator users,
after recent update of photoshop cs6 , indesign cs6, cs extension exported confgiurator 3/3.1 not appear in photoshop 13.0.1 , indesign 8.0.1. because exported cs extension targets photoshop 13.0 , indesign 8.0.
please follow these steps solve problem:
1. make sure configurator 3 not running.
2. replace file [configurator 3 installation directory]/bundles/phsp-13/template.manifest.xml http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifesttemplate/template.manifest.pscs6.xml. make sure name of replaced file still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.pscs6.xml
3. replace file [configurator 3 installation directory]/bundles/idsn-08/template.manifest.xml http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifesttemplate/template.manifest.idcs6.xml. make sure name of replaced file still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.idcs6.xml
4. launch configurator 3, open gpc file, export panel cs extension , install again replace old one.
note: recent update of photoshop cs6 , indesign cs6 not impact panel exported via "file->export panel", impact extension exported via "file->export panel cs extension".
on photoshop forum we're hearing few people apparently can't install 13.0.1 update because updater has apparently found 1 or more files changed standard set of files adobe installed 13.0.0.
is there chance change such described above, in user manually replaces file installed adobe, might break future updates? or files such template.manifest.xml outside purview of official photoshop installer?
