Thread: Customizing Banshee to work with my library (may be a tough one)

okay, think i've gone through every media player there out there ubuntu, , 1 that's come closest managing library way it's managed in windows mediamonkey has been banshee - being @ least supports albumartist tag.

still doesn't work i'd like. in 'artist' tag field use semicolon ( ; ) separate artists if there more one.

example artist tag of particular song may this: blakroc;the black keys;nicole wray

mediamonkey see , separate tag each of contributing artists have song under name. every media player on ubuntu (that know of) sees 1 artist in itself, in artist section have bazillion 'artists' in fact same artists.

first question: there way banshee (or media player) recognize ' ; ' in tags in same way wmp , mm do?

other question: there way change tagging fields banshee looks for. instance, when determining album artist, media players 'album artist' tag, others 'albumartist' while others 'band'. mean same thing when music tagged in 1 program, turns out different in another.
