Thread: Firefox-bin Maxes CPU and Freezes in Natty
hello,
i've had problem last couple days that's getting worse--on opening firefox, application freezes after thirty seconds , if check 'top' or system monitor, firefox-bin more maxing out cpu usage.

had accidentally upgraded ff5 week or ago, thought might problem. downgraded ff4--same problem.
i'm using chromium workaround most grateful advice.

when in "top" if hit "k" key ask pid kill.type pid number , hit enter. windows task manager.
firefox problem.....backup bookmarks , use synaptic completly remove firefox.then command linethen run update reinstall whichever version feel comfotable with. mark firefox in synaptic "locked version" not ask update. download firefox current download on mozilla site , place extracted folder in /usr/share/lib old firefox located.i retain profile in /home/username folder.code:sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives*
