Thread: Grub Rescue> problem dual booting
ok, i've been searching past few days on forums, trying figure out on own...
i'm quite n00b linux. have had running on old dell latitude year no problems, decided dual boot girlfriend's family's 2 year old desktop.
installed recent live cd ubuntu site alongside windows vista seemed no problems. restarted when prompted so, loaded grub rescue. tried reinstalling no avail. tried this:

don't have grub rescue. when gets point used grub rescue, nothing. monitor goes mode waiting signal computer. running live cd (which impressively fast , stable).
please me this. feel complete jerk. tried install ubuntu because sick of waiting 20 minutes windows load of garbage, use facebook.

hi there. don't worry, easy mess when trying dual-install. tutorial looks ok if didn't work we'll need more details.
