Thread: How to install LILO from LiveCD (USB)?

attempting restore mbr of disc comprises 1 50gb win xp partition (c , 1 c950gb ntfs partition (e. gparted confirms boot flag set c:. fdisk confirms xp partition sda1 , other sda2.

boot ubuntu livecd 2gb usb pendrive. in order this, required set pendrive primary hard disc in asus mobo's bios. way boot machine usb device.

problem
problem arises when try run lilo in usual way performing following 2 commands...
code:
sudo apt-get install lilo  sudo lilo -m /dev/sda mbr
error
@ point presented error message:
fatal: /dev/sda1 not master device primary partition table
question
because aforementioned necessity of setting pendrive in bios primary disc, somehow interfering lilo?

how can override lilo error message , proceed rewriting mbr sda1 regardless?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
