Thread: How to mount android tablet as a USB device

i have acer iconia tab a500 , instruction manual said use usb drive have plug in. unfortunately, ubuntu not automatically steps windows/mac apparently do, so, long story short, did not show in nautilus , did not know how mount manually. process bit convoluted, found in first post of thread:
http://www.acertabletforum.com/forum...ux-ubuntu.html
modification steps needed not enable "usb debugging" on tablet. when "usb debugging" enabled ubuntu gave "transport endpoint not connected" error. instructions in link acer iconia , motorola xoom tablets there chance applicable other android tablets or phones. if have modify instructions yours work, please post them here other people same device know modify well.

go debian download package mtpfs 0.9-3. go ubuntu 11.10 software store , install gmtp 1.2.0. may error message don't worry acer a500 mount may take little bit of play around.
