Thread: Make active window appear below panel

salutations!

thinking of having bottom panel harbouring active windows. thought uncheck expand grow larger when more windows active. of not problem. there's 1 thing stopping me doing this.

active window stops when reaches either panel.

[forgot edit green bar out. ops. ignore it.] in either bottom corner nothing displayed. how can active window go way bottom of screen. whilst panel still appears above active window? [probably won't have transparent panel when doing this.]

bye!

gnome panel not meant able overlay windows statically. way achieve this, set respective panel autohide, but, unfortunately, feature doesn't play edge detection of compiz, meaning won't unhide if gconf key "/apps/panel/toplevels/bottom_panel_screen0/auto_hide_size" set low, begins work 3 pixel upwards, it's more hit or miss, because if move mouse pointer far edge, won't affect panel anymore. so, have target area of value set there minus 2 pixel @ edge.

greetings.
