so, need ati video/graphics card, that's prefer @ least. agp slot died, needs pci card, please.

advice on how shop on newegg.

first need make sure of type of pci slot have available on motherboard, because there different types of pci slots (pci , pci express x16, etc) motherboards have type of pci slot printed right next pci slot. if yours doesn't, can compare available pci slot images on page: http://technologyinthefuture.com/the...s-pci-express/
or can model of computer have , see if can find computer's hardware specifications.

see if can identify old graphics card's model name, memory size, , memory type. information helpful when selecting new card. if older computer, should stick closer same specs. if computer isn't old maybe can little more powerful.

go newegg.com , search ati pci or ati pci 256mb if want include searching amount of memory.

going see alot of listings 'pci express' video cards because getting harder find older pci video cards. don't have buy "ati" branded ati cards, can go cheaper brand names too.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
