Thread: Sharing internet access across WiFi network

hi all,

i'm using 3g hsdpa modem internet connectivity. want share internet connection machine through wifi.

ubuntu : 10.10
wireless interface : eth1

how can ubuntu 10.10 ?

try find information regarding:

1) setting computer wireless access point or how use wireless ad-hoc mode

google: http://www.google.com/search?q=ubuntu+as+wireless+ap

nice result: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/wi...essaccesspoint

2) find out how "share internet connection" in ubuntu

google: http://www.google.com/search?q=ubunt...net+connection

nice result: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/in...nectionsharing

remember you'll need static ip or dhcp server if you're not bridging between wired , wireless interface (then have number 3 you'll have research).

check links (and maybe more google-results) , let know if have questions or run problems.

(i promise check please tell if works out well.)

regards,
helgman
