Thread: Ubuntu 10.10 dual boot problem


i had installed 10.10 on dell laptop , on seprate partition same disk installed 10.10 , going migrate docs etc when got chance.

@ start option pick version of ubuntu want boot into.

long time not using the older 10.10 , had docs older 10.10 logged in fine ....but no longer option @ start pick newer version of 10.10 want log .

sudo update-grub
check terminal output. should list installed oses. if 2 versions of 10.10 come up, reboot, , see whether re-writing grub.cfg has fixed problem. if 2 versions not come up, post output of command here, , we'll try see error is.
