CS6 crashed when used RAMdisk on Windows 8

i have photoshop cs6, upgraded windows 7 windows 8 (both x64). use ram disk scratch disk (16 gb ram total, 4gb ramdisk). when use filter liquify, photoshop crashed. tried 2 ramdisks , both have same behaviour. in windows 7 worked good. have final version of windows 8 msdn, no beta.

it's bad idea - don't use ram disk scratch.  photoshop work better overall if give ram possible (roughtly 14 gb in case) , use hard drive scratch. 

 

keep in mind photoshop's use of scratch space quite runs tens or hundreds of gigabytes!

 

regarding how photoshop works on windows 8 - well, i'd you're more having problems display drivers ram disk, or maybe there's kind of coupling.  keep in mind adobe has not yet said officially support operation on windows 8.  may they're holding off release of 13.0.1 update until they've had time test , tweak photoshop on windows 8.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
