How can Adobe convince the world that Flash is not dead?

hi,

not sure message belongs, please feel free direct me more appropriate forum if 1 exists.

i college professor uses flash actionscript teach fundamentals of computer programming undergraduate communication students. flash ideal platform demystifying computer programming. program's animation tools provide friendly on-ramp world of actionscript. students love it.

during past year, decision abandon support flash player has led many people in our industry conclude flash become obsolete. sadly, many technology , web design columnists have echoed "flash dead" mantra without digging beneath surface.

as people read forum surely aware, flash player 1 of 2 possible flash runtimes. adobe air delivers flash content, , adobe has no intention of abandoning air.

adobe not doing job of explaining situation general population. if through comments thread related flash player on google play, see many people misunderstand happening. people think flash, in of forms, dead. have spoken skilled web developers , graphic designers mistakenly believe flash down count. yes, there adobe roadmap flash runtimes, people don't read or understand these sorts of white papers.

flash not dead. if adobe doesn't better job of getting message out general population, fear our colleagues, students, , clients steer away potentially flash-related.

does else agree claim adobe needs better messaging flash , air? if so, how can bring adobe's attention? if not, can point me resources , popular press articles explain why flash not dead in terms make sense general audience.

flash (player) dead. long live flash (adobe air runtime).

maybe part of problem lies in people making simple statements 1 ended with.  if repeat enough people come believe it.

that statement not agree roadmap documentation have referred in writeup (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplatform/whitepapers/roadmap.html).  have not seen indicates flash player dead, nor there plans kill off - moreso opposite.  maybe should point sources if have indicate otherwise.

i understand continued development of flash player mobile use being dropped, , have own bias why came pass.  feel brought when enough people did claim drive demise of flash.

how can adobe convince of anything?  don't think can.  takes bunch of folks saying things don't want hear make things disappear, take similar effort want them stay around make so.

the squeaky wheels grease (if nothing other quiet noise)... complainers have edge in aspect.  can't complain enjoy, wants rid of can.
