Thread: there seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon

when trying install ubuntu software centre, receive "there seems programming error in aptdaemon. software allows install/remove software , perform other package management related tasks."

i'm totally new linux, after using windows since windows 95, through windows 7. if i've missed obvious, sorry :/
