Use of old shopping cart code with Joomla extension e.g. Vir - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i converting old static website http://www.lallans.co.uk singing , dancing joomla 2.5 version temporarily here http://www.quivis.co.uk/lallans owners publish magazine twice year , produce cds. current cd catalogue lists 130 titles more come. sell issues of magazine , cds on website.

the static site uses worldpay process payments.

i know nothing commerce, online payments etc. have installed virtuemart all. have not implemented use. looks fiendishly complicated. see others posting alternatives vm , see advice follows. now;

1. need complex virtuemart handle purchase of magazines (see http://quivis.co.uk/lallans/index.php/lallans) or cds (e.g. here http://quivis.co.uk/lallans/index.php/scotsoun/scots-language) ?

on clicking 'buy' button new window opens shopping cart. assume payment in way handled on worldpay's server how apparently manage things. (i mystified references paypal. there 572 on 1 page none worldpay! , yet owners of website not apparently have paypal account.)

2. if copy , paste payment codes e.g. above, relevant individual magazine , cd articles materially assist and/or save me time? can used e.g. virtuemart? or oter system or better off in long run starting scratch?

3. if virtuemart best game in town, know of tutorial?!
