Acrobat 10.1.4 crashes on exit

after recent update 10.1.4, acrobat pro crashes when close pdf document.  os windows xp.  did not have problem 10.1.3 many other users in forum did.  here symptoms:

 

when open pdf document, acrobat hangs 15-20 secs hour glass cursor before becoming responsive (this new behavioir). after can navigate through document without problems.  when close document or exit file menu or clicking red x, adobe crashes 1 of 2 messages:

 

1)  adobe acrobat pro:  acrobat.exe - application error

the instruction @ "0x01070113" referenced memory @ "0x00000000".  memory not "read".

 

click ok terminate program.

 

or

 

2) adobe acrobat pro:  acrobat.exe - application error

exception privileged instruction.

(0xc0000096) occurred in application @ location 0x01070003

 

click ok terminate program.

 

also, document open, if open preferences dialog edit menu , click on security in left panel, acrobat imediately crashes.

 

i repaired acrobat add or remove programs control panel applet, did not fix problem.

 

i can send crash dump log if requested.

do have third party plugin installed acrobat ? , not supported acrobat. , if not sure plugins installed. close acrobat , delete files/directories found under, <acrobat installed directory>\acrobat\plug_ins

and run repair add/remove programs. original set of plugin files acrobat come back.

 

also experiencing error every time exitting acrobat type of pdf's or ?
