Copying site from ISP to localhost [Solved] - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

my site joomla 1.5.x install, virtuemart installed artio joomsef extension (with artio joomla virtuemart extension). i'm trying site running on local server, called "it", can test site part of moving joomla 2.5.x , making substantial template changes. local server running xampp 1.8.1 (php 5.2.4). server windows 2003 r2. site installed in htdocs\shops folder.

i have used akeeba kickstart install copy of site onto local server. have modified configuration.php $live_site parameter point "it/shops". have modified url , secureurl parameters in virtuemart.cfg.php file point same location.

the entire administrator site accessible , working properly. front page of site loads should, no matter menu item choose, 404 error. there no .htaccess file. if create .htaccess file of kind causes 404 error front page. i've tried .htaccess file rewritebase parameter specified , causes 404 error.

can provide insight on how here working local site?

turn off sef url in config , see if loads. if worked on web server not locally, problem local setup. also, if sef url on, make sure default joomla .htaccess file in root.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
