Joomla 406 Not Acceptable, 404 Not Found error - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i did fresh installation of joomla 2.5.8. after installation when tried open 'category manager' under administration, getting '406 not acceptable' , '404 not found error. observed error happens when browser address contains 'extension' word on it.

my server host 'linux-shared server'. please?

welcome joomla , these forums.

it appear in form have corrupt installation.
suggest removing files (deleting) , dropping database tables.
then rerun upload site ftp client , make sure set binary file transfer type.

not major issue more suitable (as in recommended setting) ensure magic quotes set off on. display errors recommended set off can managed directly within joomla site alone. go global configuration ⇒ server ⇒ error reporting , set maximum or simple or off rather system default otherwise there not appear wrong host server.
