jUpgrade best for 1.5 to 2.5?! - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i’m looking migrate data 1.5 2.5, core data joomla articles, categories, sections, , user ids, , still have articles linked proper users.
i not care of other extensions can start fresh. work migration of kunena forum too, ill later.

i’m getting little confused, have tried “jupgrade” , “j2xml importer”, have not had expected success. perhaps i’m using wrong programs, or going wrong.

i’m reading through this, , pushing “jupgrade” see in forums, many users have many issues.

is best way go project? keep working “jupgrade”?

i have dev copy of site , database upgraded 1.5.26 , getting ready to, “try again” know direction trying in optimal.

as long have backup of site, , you're keeping in tact throughout upgrade can go normal if things go wrong...using jupgrade should fine.

don't expect 100% success results though, might have learn process, may have manually things. i'm not sure. email developers or view tutorials on it, might shed light on situation.

from i've seen, thought jupgrade 1.5 2.5 supported? jupgrade best bet unless want manually, require technical skills.
