Thread: ASUS pro5dij-sx481/ Intel GMA 4500

hello guys,

using ubuntu 10.04 since last week, last 2 years using fedora , satisfied it. bough new laptop - asus pro5dij-sx481 video card
intel gma 4500М.

speaking, cool - resolution, colors etc., time time, once per day, 20 times in 5 minutes, down part of screen flashes parts of second , become gray on old tv, has problem transmitting of channels. laptop still in garanty, brought service, , asked me if problem occurs under windows.
told them don't know, because not using windows, , told me thay going test under windows, because opinion problem caused drivers of linux. 2 days passed , called me take home, because had not found problem.
because, problem continuing appear, decided install windows , test, sure problem due hardware issues, not due drivers ones.
well, writing message windows, have installed before 2 hours , untill current moment, there not problem!! on other side, can not assume driver issue - told you, gr8, problem occutrs time time seconds , after dissapers.

opinion?
has experience kind of laptop , video card , ubuntu 10.04?

read lot of issues video card , ubuntu, byt different - constant issues less/worse quality if colors/ missing resolution, etc... problem seems hardware issue, can not see under windows current moment.


appreciated!

anybody ?

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
