Thread: Run SNMP on non standard port

afternoon all, need check few webservers on 1 public ip behind loadbalacer. since need info each, http want following;

publicip:161 -> server1 port 161 (currently working)
publicip:162 -> server2 port 162 (failing)

looking @ docs (http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...8/snmpd.8.html) , see can change it, it's not working , i'm not sure on protocol, placement, etc.

snmpd.conf working since correct community string works, snmpd.conf file had 1 line;

rocommunity zpublicz

according docs, added following under 1 line;
udp:162 should tell listen on interfaces port 162. when try snmpwalk local on same device fails on 162 still answers on 161, idea why not working appreciated.
