Thread: Startup from commandline

for (dumb) reasons, installed gnome on top of 11.04 server installation. upon boot, automatically starts , hogs more resources want/need to. want go basic command line startup. how go doing this?

in advance!

do mean want uninstall gnome?
or mean want choice of cli vs gnome @ each boot?
or mean else?
