Thread: Taskbar missing in Ubuntu 10.04

after upgrading lucid, there no taskbar or main menubar in ubuntu 10.04 (lucid lynx) machine.

can correct typing
code:
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel pkill gnome-panel
however, when reboot, taskbar , toolbar missing again. how system remember position of tool , task bars in next time?

maybe not coming reason right after login? can caused faulty video driver settings, or driver itself. did try restarting gnome-panel without resetting part!?

greetings.
