Thread: Why is /root/.local/share/recentlyused.xbel missing?

i trying turn on numlock x , having difficulty followed instructions in thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...74#post9198174

after editing file in gedit output in terminal:

$ gksudo gedit /etc/gdm/init/default

(gedit:2645): gtk-warning **: attempting store changes `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', failed: failed create file '/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel.nrbxxv': no such file or directory

(gedit:2645): gtk-warning **: attempting set permissions of `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', failed: no such file or directory

(gedit:2645): gtk-warning **: attempting store changes `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', failed: failed create file '/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel.nsatxv': no such file or directory

(gedit:2645): gtk-warning **: attempting set permissions of `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', failed: no such file or directory

why /root/.local/share/recentlyused.xbel missing?

tried edit same file using sudo nano instead of gksudo gedit command , didn't run same warning, explain me means?

i got same problem, tried manually make file still warnings show up...
