Automatic hyperlink creation - properly !
for many years/versions, indesign still carries bug concerning automatic hyperlink creation.
when using feature let indesign detect web links, prefix "www." trigger automatic conversion hyperlink, e.g. "www.adobe.com". however, proper link (url) should officially preceded "http://", denoting protocol used. lack of prefix renders these "web links" not work properly, not in pdf, nor in epub, or folio's.
another glitch in feature exclusion of trailing slashes in web links. left out of url (no big deal), miss obvious application of desired character style (e.g. blue, underlined, bold), making link appear inconsistently styled.
now, if automatic detection , manual creation work in folio's (the default conversion damned shared link destinations still gets in way – why not make optional), i'll happy man. well, partially is, regards hyperlinking of course...
i not aware id ever recognized or converted text hyperlinks. far know, that's function in whatever software reading output id.
