Clip Numbering Question

whenever close , re-open session, , start recoridng new clips, audition cs6 forgets continue numbering left off.  example, last thing recorded track1_005.  instead of continuing straight track1_006, start on track1_001_1. 

 

the method i've found right number, record silience few times first, force undersceore stuff out of system.  needless say, in sessions have hundreds of clips, total showstopper.  there has better way.

 

in previous versions, never issue.  close, re-open, , audition keep going names , numbers, right left off.  it's in cs6 new behavior happens.

 

 

being able continue numbering left off absolutely crucial me.  i'm production sound mixer movies.  need keep numbers in sync what's on slate.  can't tell slate, "no, start over, , call 'take 1_2', instead of 'take 6.'"  have hard enough time trying old school producers comfortable fact record on computer.  if have tell them take numbers gonna screwy, i'll never hired again.

 

is there solution this, or should bite bullet, , become protools user?  i'd hate that, since audition has been weapon of choice on decade now.  i've been using literally every day, since before audition (back in day, cool edit pro).  if have make switch, will.

 

anyone have solution?  much.

this sounds important feature request developers need see.

 

unfortunately, short of software update time down road, can't imagine you'll solution this.  , that's not gonna work done week.

 

what take roll earlier version treated better?
