How can I request more robust file renaming functions

i converting folder , file names standard naming conventions catalog photos. in lr4. others haven't converted, easier find duplicates , manage process within lr4 except 1 thing.

 

since file names inconsistent between folders, standardize them necessary rename files based on pulling portions of existing filenames -- need left(), right(), or mid() function.

 

for example, can't use year because file scanned, original year (yyyy) part of filename. same thing 4-digit camera assigned number use in standard filenaming convention i'm converting. there other examples well.

 

an earlier post got no response on how after photo in catalog, leading me believe can't done now. how can request feature? critically important managing old photos during process of getting them converted standard naming , cataloged, particularly scanned photos.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
