Thread: Document Viewer (evince) won't load/open

trying open pdfs web, desktop, email don't work. see document viewer start load in toolbar, closes. i've uninstalled , re-installed same result. when run evince terminal

evince: error while loading shared libraries: libsm.so.6: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

suggestions?

completely remove evince then:

sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get autoremove

then reinstall.
