Thread: New To Ubuntu - Partition Troubles - Please help

hi guys,

joined forums , decided rid of windows together.

however, have fun first big problem. due lack of ubuntu knowledge, have managed partition 250gb hdd screen shot below.

unfortunately, have no idea how fix it, can please please please me?

tried install java jdk can run android thats story day.

assistance appreciated.

looking @ partitioning 250gb hdd 4 partitions, ubuntu, windows 7, android os 3.0 & xp.

have attached screen shot of looks @ moment.

you can't install windows 7 on logical partition, nor can install on ext4 filesystem. needs on ntfs filesystem, , first primary partition. i'd suggest redo partitioning scheme. first make primary partition ntfs in install windows (30-50 gb). make extended partition put ubuntu on. divide extended partition 3 logical ones.

make 1 partition of 20 gb. / (root) partition. serve host system files. make second logical partition, size of 100, more or less. /home partition, used host user data. kinda windows d: drive. last 1 should big ram size, , used swap partition. leave rest unallocated.

put windows install cd in drive, , install first primary ntfs partition. after install windows, put ubuntu live cd in drive. when installing, use "something else", , "manual partitioning" option. choose 20 gb partition, , choose format ext4, mountpoint /. choose 100 gb partition, format ext4, , set mountpoint /home. lastly, choose last partition, , choose use linux swap. reboot, , you'll selection of whether boot windows or ubuntu.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
