Thread: Partition full of important data lost. Need help recovering it!


hi!

last night running w7 , putting of important stuff c: disk d: disk install kubuntu on laptop. have 2 os's, ok. both of them on former c: disk. problem can't seem find d: data is.

right have sda1 @ 14 gb recovery partition. have sda2 partition boot (86 gb). anb have sda3 seems have 2 "subs". these 2 ext4 (26 gb) , sda5 (335 gb. lost 1 data is, , inactive).

data on unknown. says it's unformatted, can't seem access without doing so.
can access sda2 (windows) , ext4 (linux).

need, if possible, access sda5 can retrieve of data..

can try understand wrote , me?

using words of 'coffecat'. looks job testdisk.

open 'ubuntu software centre' > search 'testdisk' > check > click on 'install'.
when process has finished open terminal
code:
sudo testdisk
