Thread: Ubuntu 11.04 - Gnome - Nautilus - "No templates installed"


in nautils, when right-click, , go "create document", says "no templates installed".

searching, found thread 2006 this. solution create empty office docs , put them in ~/templates. tried created empty spreadsheet , writer documents , put them in home directory in templates folder. didn't change anything.

so, missing?

sorry, i'm new ubuntu, i've been doing gentoo years got tired of updates breaking , taking forever fix

apparently "nothing"! works in 10.04 , 10.10, maybe bug in 11.04 seems. if using unity, try changing classic gnome desktop login screen , see if works. have no experience 11.04 though.

way, don't have option create 'empty file' in same right-click menu?
