Thread: Why is my kernel panicking?


laptop has been running ubuntu 10.10 6 months or fine. today when opened wake hibernation, told me: 'kernel panic - not syncing vfs unable mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)'.restarting doesn't change anything.

trouble i've had problem graphics driver when first installed it, , working fine fifteen minutes before. did cause this? how computer back?

does panics @ every boot now? or everytime wake hibernation?
