Can you add layers below a Composite Layer?
once create composite layer @ top of layer stack w. option-click on "merge visible" in layer panel menu, new layer layer shows (represents) image? instance, if adjustment layer added below it, , background layer image layer, effect of adjustment visible? or need delete composite layer , create new 1 include new adjustment layer?
the reason ask has illustration (below) came across 1 of mark johnson's old napp tutorials (total control glowing montage). in tutorial "layer 1" created composite layer of background layer , "levels 1" had smart filter applied it. 2 "levels 1" copy layers added last fine-tune effect of levels 1 adjustment. notice below composite layer. work? thanks.
if layer @ top of stack in normal blending mode , has no "blend if" condition , has no (semi-)transparent pixels , has opacity 100% , fill 100% , no layer style stroke causes transparency (a bug) , has no masked-out region, obscure lower layers.
your top layer obscures
an adjustment layer cannot affect layer above in stack.
do need delete composite layer , create new 1 include new adjustment layer?
i take created composite added 2 adjustment layers should affecting composite. have been added above layer(s) targeted @ time. drag these 2 misplaced adjustment layers top of stack , affect whatever below them. (or drag composite under them.)
