CS6 & ACR 7.2 Beta

i have been working on restoring , printing negatives clients wedding of 20+ years ago. negatives not brilliant, photographer used hp5+ , not developed well. original prints were  terrible, asked if work these images , put book family.

 

scanning negatives 4800 dpi rgb tiff's , opening them in camera raw (acr 7.2 beta) amazed @ detail , quality extract these negatives. so have started shooting film again personal work. quality , tonal range scanned 4x5 , 5x7 negative workflow magic

 

i use epson v700 , negatives assigment shot 6x6 cm camera, not hasselblad tell tale notches not there @ edge of image. due poor development , fact 400 asa film used negatives quite grainy, noise reduction in acr helped.

impressed acr 7.2 far, if of clipping display bugaboos still there , force view @ 100%. regal pain moving around 100 mp image

 

so scanning, workflow acr works great

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
