First time build check, with some questions

after & forth, i’m take plunge , own build.  seems similar many others here have done, , pretty close videoguys diy build, it’s first time , have few questions, thought i’d post , comments.  here specs:

i plan on overclocking using asus auto overclock feature.  i’ve read 4.3 seems reliable speed shoot for.  videos i’ve watched on auto overclocking uefi interface straightforward.

 

i’m going use 670 power 2 editing monitors via dvi, , asus p24a6 via hdmi client monitor.

 

for foreseeable future, i’ll editing avchd footage.  don’t motion gfx work, cuts & dissolves, fair amount of color correction & grading applied.  how system configuration workflow?

 

also, feedback on cooling appreciated.  looks noctura has compatibility issues board populated crucial ram, i’m going intel liquid cooler, looks easy install , recommended adk.  case , cooler, or there other type of cooling should add cool ram or psu?

 

anything else i’m missing?  post here.  special adk, participation here invaluable , advice gave me appreciated.  system main source of income, i’d buy them sure.

looks have done lot of work first pass here build list; there lot more looks right wrong.

 

regarding how system workflow? pc want do.

 

regarding cooling, ram , psu fine.

 

regarding missing, yes blu-ray burner.

 

you did not state whether want a) build , leave alone years, or b) make upgrades in future. if b), have suggestion ram choice. if a), have suggested tweaks how spend budget build.

 

you've heard here before, true adobe has mastered ability tax of pc components (cpu, ram, bus, drives, , video card) premiere pro cs5 , above in order make hd editing fast , fun. makes balance important , in ways system strong weakest link.

 

your current plans strike me as:

cpu = a+, ram = a+++ on paper, possibly bad idea, drives = b-, gpu = a-.

 

my strong suggestion go 32gb of 1600 ram. want moderately strong oc on cpu , memory controller of 3930k not strong enough pull off.

 

minor suggestions: a) more drives - go @ least 1 2x1tb raid 0 array media, projects, , scratch (adding 1 more drive). b) ssd boot - spending as here, think build deserves 128gb ssd boot/os drive - no not after premiere pro has started , editing, make pc faster lots of other things users do.
