Thread: Lot of site doesn't load in Ubuntu

first of let me tell i'm newbie linux, have been using windows 5 years ubuntu 10.04 lts 3 days on laptop. problem (should most?) sites such myspace, yahoo mail tinypic , lot of random sites aren't opening in ubuntu. can access few sites, in fact i'm posting thread same laptop. @ first thought dns problem , changed google public dns. when wget myspace or other sites can't access resolves correctly gets stuck displaying http request sent, awaiting response... after error message. don't think it's isp problem can access sites using windows desktop. analyzing connection @ http://www.speedguide.net/analyzer.php shows

under many linux distributions, the analyzer only shows the current tcp window.
rwin seems to be set to a very small number. if you're on a broadband connection, consider using a larger value.
for optimum performance, consider changing rwin to a multiple of mss.

i think rwin problem don't know how change it. i'm using firefox , chrome btw.
